We went and checked out long lake for the first time on Monday (since it hit the 90's here in Washington). The kids were disappointed that the beach area was gravel rocks and not sand, but they still had a great time. In fact they talked me into letting them play in the sand volleyball courts on the way back to the car.

I got so excited when I read the title of this post because we used to live on Long Lake when I was a kid in Washington, but it's in a different town!
