California Trip: Wednesday s'mores and the temple

On Wednesday we made s'mores in my parents' fire pit.

It was definitely pretty toasty roasting marshmallows on such a hot day. 

All of the chocolate melted before the s'mores were assembled.

Then we headed to the Sacramento Temple for a picnic on the temple grounds.

Wednesday night Scott, Wendy and Stephen all flew in on different flights to make it in time for the official reunion to start Thursday morning.

California Trip: Tuesday afternoon swimming and BBQ

After hanging out at the Starrs we went swimming and had a BBQ. It was so nice to cool off from the heat!

California Trip: Tuesday with the Starrs

It was so fun to get to sneak in a visit with the Starrs (friends from dental school). We both have three boys and a girl (in that order). Last year they lived in Oregon - not too far from us and now they live only 20 minutes from my parents!

California Trip - Monday

On Monday morning we loaded up my parents' 15 passenger van and went to the Adventure Playground in Berkeley. I remember going there as a kid, so it was fun to take my kids there. Hannah flew in to the Oakland airport Monday morning and joined us there as well.

California Trip: Grandpa's art class

Grandpa did a few "art classes" during the week for the grand kids. They loved it! I was impressed how well they all did.

California Trip: Friday & Saturday

We drove out to California on Friday, June 26th. We were the first to arrive from out of town - Rebekah and her family flew in Saturday morning and Joseph and his girls flew in Saturday early afternoon. 

Saturday afternoon we went swimming. 

It was great to get to cool off in the heat!
