Matthew is in 6th grade  at Aylen Junior High now, so he had to catch the bus an hour before Cameron and Brandon. Matthew has two academic teachers this year (Mrs. Pink and Mrs. Smith) as well as PE and band.
Cameron (4th grade with Mrs. Farias) and Brandon (2nd grade with Mrs Lowney & Mrs. Stanley) are both at Fruitland Elementary.

Matthew's 5th Grade Promotion

Matthew's fifth grade class was promoted to junior high the same year as all the sixth graders at Fruitland. This was because for 2018-2019 school year Aylen Junior High will have the 6th graders from Fruitland to help accommodate for extra students while they build another elementary school. The plan is that in a few years once the new elementary school opens back up, sixth grade for Fruitland students will move back to Fruitland. The good new is Matthew will have an advantage over other seventh graders because he will already know his way around Aylen Junior High. The bad news is he gets one less year in elementary school and will have to wake up earlier to get to school on time.

Matthew's Toaster for Science Fair

Matthew won First Place in the school science fair in Reverse Engineering. He took apart a toaster and explained how it worked.

They recently changed 5th grade to be the top of our local elementary school - so this is the last year these three boys will get to go to the same school.

Cub Scout Day Camp

August 2017
Cameron got to join Matthew this year for cub scout day camp. On the last day they invited families to come and join for the final afternoon. This year was WAY better than last year for me (last year family day was my on my due date and I went 9 months pregnant and stood around in the heat for several hours).
They had otter-pops for everyone and tug-of-war was the main event. Both Matthew and Cameron's teams did great!

Matthew's camping cousin bday party

May 19-20, 2017

Matthew wanted to have a camping themed birthday party with his cousins, so Friday night we let them sleep in tents in the backyard. One of Matthew's presents was a green tent of his own, so he was excited to get to use it!
