Flying on a Plane

We decided to open Christmas presents on the morning of Friday, December 22nd as we would be going to CA on Christmas. We had told the kids we were driving, but one of their Christmas presents was plane tickets to fly to California!!

We were set to fly out Sunday afternoon (Christmas Eve). We arrived at the Seattle airport with plenty of time to spare, letting the kids play on the escalator, watch planes and wait. We got on our plane just fine and because we had 6 tickets (Lincoln was a lap child) we were able to sit on two rows with one in front of the other. Lincoln sat on my lap and was able to look out the window. Well, Seattle weather was not in our favor as it started to snow and we had to wait for what seemed like FOREVER before we were able to take off. They de-iced our plane only to have to do it again. The kids were growing very impatient as this was their first flight ever (with the exception of Matthew who flew as a baby to Hawaii) and they couldn't wait to get off the ground. Eventually we got in the air and made to to CA. Lincoln was a little rough to entertain, but eventually he did fall asleep on my lap.

We made it to California!
