Brandon has become quite the master clothes changer... he has been getting pretty good about taking everything off (remember this). We had to get creative by putting zip up pajamas on backwards but he could wiggle his way out. So we resorted to duck tape (seriously a life saver). For a while there he would sleep in nothing but a diaper or run around the house again in, you guessed it, nothing but a diaper.
But in the last little bit he has been figuring out how to get clothes back on. At first he would get frustrated because he would put both legs in the same pants hole, but now he usually gets it right. Yesterday he picked out his clothes and put them on backwards, but today he got everything on the right way, got his socks and shoes out and started putting on his socks all by himself.
Maybe this isn't that amazing, maybe your two year old has been picking out clothes and getting dressed all by himself for a while, but compared to what I am used to around here (helping my almost 6 year old and 4 year old get dressed, asking them to get dressed by themselves, begging them to get ready--having my two year old do it all by himself is pretty impressive!) Maybe some day his older brothers will start following his example.

dying eggs
It seems like every year dying eggs becomes a little more fun and a little less stressful. Containing Brandon to the high chair definitely helped. We only had one small miss-hap--we looked away for a second and found Brandon's tray and part of the floor sprayed with dye. To Brandon's credit, we are pretty sure it was a rubber band that snapped and not his fault at all!
concentrating, hard at work...
the pink container melted... woops
I think this egg of Cameron's turned out to be my personal favorite...

my climber
Matthew has always been a climber-- you know the type of kid that climbs out of his crib before he's two. Well, I was at a friends house the other day and the kids were playing outside... next thing I know I look over to find Matthew climbing up a tree...
zooming in...
One of these days I'll be taking him to the emergency room -- I mean something is bound to happen to this dare-devil. (And if not Matthew, then one of his brothers -- three boys -- the odds are not in my favor.)
craft time!
We had a few friends over for a spring themed craft play date.
It is so fun my kids are old enough to enjoy stuff like this!
And it was great to have some friends join in the fun.
