Kandle Pool with Scott

After having so much fun at Kandle Pool while my family was here, we decided to go back with Scott. The kids had a blast again and they have definitely gained a lot of confidence in the water this summer.

After spending the night at Rebecca & Barts we headed down to the Portland area to visit the Starrs. Scott went to dental school with Jeremy and they recently (well I guess it has been a year now) moved to Oregon. It was so fun getting to hang out with Kathryn and let the kids play. They also have three boys and a baby girl, so it was perfect. Kathryn is an amazing cook and did not disappoint with homemade pizza dough (the kids got to put on their own toppings), delicious cookies and deep fried french toast.

while Scott was at a dental conference.... Scott Lake with Rebecca

Scott went out of town for 5 days for a dental conference at the end of July. I decided rather than spending that time at home we would keep busy and visit family and friends staying away from home as much as possible. Thursday, July 31st we met up with Rebecca and her girls at Scott Lake. (side note: we used to live within walking distance of that lake, but it is now a 45 min. drive) After playing at the lake and park we headed back to Rebecca & Bart's house for the evening and spent the night there.

Katelyn's tooth

First tooth at 5 Months!

Katelyn's first tooth came in at about five months - I was a bit surprised since my other kids were a lot later than that.

We promised the boys they could go camping this year... but we opted for the easy way out - the boys slept in the tent in the backyard and Katelyn and I slept inside.
Scott grilled up some hot dogs and then we made a fire in the backyard for the boys to put sticks in and roast marshmallows. Scott's dad came over in time for some-mores and he even slept in the tent with the boys.
