Hoh Rainforest - Camping with the Cranes

August 22-25, 2018

Wednesday morning we arrived at the Hoh Rainforest as soon as we could check in. We were able to claim four camp sites to all be near each other. We set up camp and explored. Unfortunately it was bee season and the bees were definitely out. Poor Sydney got a wasp in her shirt and got stung over and over.

It was incredible... Tyler was able to hold his hand out so still that a bird landed on it!

Then he tried the bait to see if the bird would land on his dad's head, unfortunately it didn't work, but it was pretty entertaining.

Cameron sanding and whittling his stick...

look at that worm!

On Thursday we drove about an hour and went to Ruby Beach...

On Friday we went on the trail - Hall of the Moses. It was pretty impressive to see all of the trees with roots weaving around and branches covered in moss. Most of the toddlers had a bit of a rough time and we definitely got spread out amongst our group.

don't let that smile fool you!

After we got back from the trail, we explored the river close to our campground...

It was quite the feet crossing the log...

On Saturday morning we packed up and headed to the Quinault Rain Forest to see the world's largest Spruce Tree. We had planned to do a little more exploring on our way out, but it started to rain, so most of us decided to just head back to our homes.

What a fun week!
