We wanted to
check out a new place to play in the snow this year, so we headed up Snoqulamie
pass and drove around until we stumbled on a place. We ended up at the parking
lot of Hyak Snow Park and after checking it out, we decided to stay. The kids
explored a bit, ate and then we found the sledding hill. It was set up with
four lanes for sledding and surprisingly there wasn’t much waiting. (It
probably helped that we went on a Friday and not a Saturday.) The weather was
perfect, sunny and no wind. By the end, we were shedding layers of snow clothes
so we weren’t too hot. Right before leaving, we formed a Crane chain and all of
us went down at once. We put the two sleds at the front and the tubes at the
back. It was great fun!
